As
much as we sometimes think we know about things like kids bath décor,
the truth is the likes and dislikes of kids are often an enigma to
us.
So when decorating a bathroom for a child or children, you should
remember to go to the source of information for ideas. That’s
right. Ask the kids.
Even though you may think that they would love an underwater aquarium
theme or a boat dock theme, they may have some other ideas to share
with you.
Other ideas for a kids’ bathroom could include:
• Fishing – By creating a fishing atmosphere you can
make bath time much more fun. You can include things like plastic
fish in the bathtub, plastic fishing poles and other kinds of interesting
fishing-related items.
You can continue playing the theme out at the sink area. Instead of
having toothbrush holders, you can use tackle boxes in which you can
store toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash and floss. Not only will this
be fun for you, but it will encourage your children to want to take
baths and brush their teeth.
• Swamp – It is obvious that your tastes and the tastes
of your kids differ. Another thing that you could do for your kids
is create a swamp-like atmosphere in which the children can have fun.
By making things like a boggy marsh and bushes out of plastic, paint
or paper or by using green bathtub coloring tablets in the tub, you
can give your children the illusion that they are actually bathing
in the swamp.
When designing kids bath décor, the important thing to remember
is that you are doing it for the kids. Chances are you will have several
opportunities to change these designs around from time to time.
